5:44 AM · Train · 1 of 3
A lifting log that plans the next session.
It asks first.
Before you start it asks how you feel. Good, you progress. Ok, you hold your weights. Rough, it takes about 15% off or lets you skip.
5:45 AM · Train · 2 of 3
The next session is already set.
When you finish, it sets next session’s weights for you. Machine broken? Swap to a saved alternative and keep going.
5:46 AM · Train · 3 of 3
Stuck? It offers a reset.
When a lift stalls for three sessions it offers a reset about 10% lighter, and you can start a deload when you need an easier week.
All day · Log
Food, water and sleep, without the spreadsheet.
Every drink counts toward one fluid goal that rises on training days. Meals come from your favorites, and sleep comes in from Apple Health.
Over time · Progress

What helps you
Share of your better days that included the habit, from sample data. Each morning you rate yesterday from Rough to Great in one tap, and Progress lines it up with sleep, energy, water and workouts.
Rule of life
A rule of life is a trellis, not a cage: a few chosen rhythms that hold your days up so you can grow.
Christians have kept one for centuries. Our name comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:23, a prayer for your whole spirit, soul and body. Your rule is yours: the habits you want to build, the ones you want to leave behind, and the rhythms that hold it all together, from a two-minute morning start to a weekly day of rest.
Rest is part of the rule.
Name your rest day, Sabbath or otherwise. Nothing gets scheduled on it, not even a brief.
Fasting is a practice.
Put a fast in your rule and that day becomes a fast day. Today keeps a line for prayer when hunger comes, and the coach reads a light day of eating as chosen, never a miss.
No streaks. Just begin again.
A missed day looks exactly like a day still to come. “Not logged yet,” never “you failed.”
Your rule
Write it in your own words. Then live it.
One line you live by for spirit, soul and body, and the few practices that keep it: daily, weekly or monthly. Each one gets a time, an if-then for the hard moment and a 2-minute version for busy days. Start from a template or write your own, and Today walks you through it in order.

Questions
Questions about 5:23
What is 5:23?
5:23 helps you build any healthy habit or routine and crowd out the ones you want gone. Prayer or a morning run, reading, a bedtime, less phone at night: you choose. It all sits on one list in the order you live your day, with an optional coach that writes a short daily brief.
What is a rule of life?
A simple, chosen pattern of daily, weekly and monthly rhythms, kept by Christians for centuries. 5:23 helps you write yours: one line you live by for spirit, soul and body, and the practices that keep it, daily, weekly or monthly. You set it once, and Today walks you through it in order.
How is 5:23 different from a habit tracker?
Habit trackers count streaks. 5:23 holds the whole shape of your day: the habits you’re building, the routines around them and the ones you’re replacing, on one list in the order you live it. There are no streaks, and a missed day looks exactly like a day still to come.
Can it help me break a habit?
Yes, by replacing it. Put the new habit in your rule with an if-then for the moment the old one usually wins (“If I reach for my phone in bed, then I read a page”) and a 2-minute version for hard days. Progress shows which habits go with your better days.
Is 5:23 a Christian app?
Yes. It’s built on the rule of life, a Christian practice, and named for 1 Thessalonians 5:23. A daily Wisdom verse and a faith-aware coach are built in, and you choose which spiritual practices go in your rule, alongside any other habit.
How much does it cost?
Free during the beta. After launch, plans start at $4.99 a month.
How does the AI coach work?
Today, you connect 5:23 to your own Claude account. The coach reads your log and writes a short morning brief and a weekly review back into the app. A Coach plan with it built in is coming soon. It’s optional; the app works fully without it.
Does it sync with Apple Health?
Yes, with your permission. You choose what it can read in the Health app.
Who can see my data?
You. We don’t sell it or use it for ads. Read the privacy policy for the details.
