Privacy Policy
The short version: your data is yours. We use it to run the app for you. We don’t sell it and we don’t use it for ads.
Who we are
5:23 is made by Portion Eight LLC, 17 Metropolitan Ave, North Bellmore, NY 11710. Questions: support@fivetwentythree.app.
What we collect
Account and contact: your name and email, and your email if you join the beta waitlist.
What you log: routine steps, habits, workouts and sets, food, drinks, sleep times, body measurements, notes and settings such as time zone, rest days and fast days.
Apple Health data: only the types you allow in the Health app.
Technical data: device model, iOS version and crash reports that Apple shares with developers through TestFlight and the App Store, if you’ve allowed it on your iPhone.
How we use it
To run the app: show your day, track progress and set next-session targets.
To send beta invites and important service emails.
To fix bugs and improve the app.
We never sell your data. We never use Apple Health data for advertising or share it with data brokers.
The AI coach (optional)
If you connect 5:23 to your Claude account, Claude can read your log and write briefs, reviews and targets back to the app. That data is then also handled under Anthropic’s privacy policy. You can disconnect at any time. If you never connect it, none of your data goes to Claude.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run the app, under contract:
Vercel: runs the app’s servers.
Neon: stores your data in a database in the United States.
Framer: hosts this website and the waitlist form.
Apple: TestFlight, App Store and subscription payments.
We may disclose data if the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your data while your account is active. Email support@fivetwentythree.app to get a copy or have it deleted; we’ll do it within 30 days.
Security, children, changes
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
5:23 isn’t meant for anyone under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and tell you in the app for anything significant.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your data, and to object to some uses. Email us to use any of them.
